Probably a reaction the people always denigrating their field of work. Though I honestly see it in about the same percentages in any area by guys can make a really good living without a degree.

This thread needs a spinoff of why do plant operators feel the need to act like they have a good job. And how they lie about making 6 figures

I love the snap stories I see of operators in the control room with their feet kicked up at like 4 am with the caption "working hard" or something similar... seems awesome!

I could care less about being addressed as Dr. and rarely introduce myself as such..even to patients. I know many who are the same. Gotta love a good OT generalization tho....

100% agree.
ETA: Definitely not all but like anything else, the ones that do make it obnoxious.

If this is actually true, you're the exception rather than the rule. I've worked with and around physicians for over 20 years and know for a fact there are many more that get butt hurt if not referred to as Dr. than there are that could care less. Let's be honest here.
