It had loud pipes. But just because it came that way, and I thought they were cool.
The pipes didn't seem to help stop assholes from pulling out in front of me. Doppler effect I guess. Plus, people will look you dead in the eye and pull out in front of you if you don't pose a serious threat to them. They'll yield for a truck but take a chance if it's just a bike.

I have friends on Hondas and BMWs. They're not "whisper quiet". Sounds to me like you're just wanting to find something to bitch about.

Don't take this wrong but you've been an arse for a long time. And if you don't think off road vehicle are subjected to less regulations than on road vehicles then you're mighty fricking stupid.

Good lord you're one stupid motherfricker. I'm perfectly aware that off road vehicles do not have the same emission standards as on highway vehicles.
I also understand (unlike you) why motorcycles tend to be loud compared to much larger automobiles. Others here tried to explain it to you but you're too stupid to comprehend what they're telling you. So I won't bother wasting my time. Instead I'll laugh at you for being so stupid then I'll be on my way.

You all know the guys who buy a brand new Harley and immediately have the stock muffler replaced with a straight pipe so they can rattle the fillings in everyone's teeth as they drive by. Nobody thinks motorcycles can be "whisper quiet," but compared to the douchebag mobiles running around full throttle at every stop light, the regular bikes sound like Grandma's sewing machine.
You know the kind of riders the OP was complaining about. But in your over zealous defense of "the brotherhood" you're just pretending you don't. You guys are just like corrupt cop defenders and "dindu nuffins" automatically screaming racism at every perceived slight.

I ride a Harley with Vance and Hines slip ons. I like the way it sounds. I am very considerate of my neighbors. I don't have a small penis. I am a full professor that's published four books, not a "loser." Been riding since I was eight. I swear some of you sound like whiny little girls

OK, from what I've read it is a small penis thing. The smaller the penis the louder the bike and the more often the motorcycle is revved.

My neighbor rides a bad arse HD. I don't mind the noise. It is much quieter than his big Diesel truck. At least the sound of the bike is gone in 5 seconds. The truck may rumble for a minute as he lets it warm up. People need to chill with what bothers them. My 3 year old can make enough noise to drive me insane. And that's without a motor or horn.

Naaaah...I just like the sound and pull of a well-tuned internal combustion engine as I take it up through the torque range. Sorry for you beta's that sit in your Honda Odyssey's as i blaze by you in my 1200cc Kaw crotch rocket, 500hp Cobra under boost, or my diesel F350.
