Because they are controlled by rich, ivy league coastal elitists that think all white people enjoy the same privilege and harbor the same racism as they do.
They abhor middle America. To them, places like Louisiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, or Indiana are like museums or zoos. Some of them may observe from a distance. Most will ridicule. None will truly understand because they don't even try. It's just flyover country to them.
