unions

in this case, maybe the lack of a union, outside of the big three and southwest, airline employees are very much like indentured servants, low pay, high pressure, and work in an almost punitive environment

not my area of expertise, and I'll admit that they do not necessarily comb the ranks of MENSA when hiring agents, but those rules are very dynamic as well, a lot depends on what kind of ticket you have and how it was purchased

I know. I’m up to speed on the fare classes and the rules surrounding them. I’m not trying to get a basic economy ticket changed.

Whataburger employees make on par, what TSA and the ticket counter people make

TSA agents start at about 48k a year

Ticket agents aren't there for the money, it's the flight benefits.

All I’ve done is expand on your original statements with how it’s coming across.

quote:

They earn poverty wages.

1. The minimum wage isn’t meant to serve as a living wage for anyone working full time. Most people earning minimum wage are typically inexperienced and unqualified. If they want to earn a living wage, then they should invest in themselves so they can one day advance, rather than feel entitled to something they’ve yet to prove they’re worthy of in the first place. They don’t have to be the best employee, but they do need to show improvement and aptitude in whatever they pursue.

quote:

You pretend to pay them, they pretend to work

2. They’re not getting paid in Monopoly money, baw. They don’t like what the owner of a business decides to pay them? Tough shite. Prove yourself first, then demand what’s yours. Being lazy and rude doesn’t reap the same rewards as someone who is ambitious and polite.

3. “Being broke is bad. But, being stupid is what’s really bad. And then what’s really, really, bad is being broke and stupid.”

I would never do their job but they definitely have power trips when they tell you to do something when you've heard another TSA say something that directly contradicts it. Best not to argue, I don't want to be arrested or a cavity search.

After reading a few articles on Ben Gurion, I stopped complaining.

Although those Israelis stop terrorists, unlike the TSA.

TSA and the people behind the ticket counter are the worst

Because TSA feels like they have stroke. You know they are G men. Ticket counter people are just tired of dealing with people like you and me.
