CAPTCHA is for training computers. Some of those weird words are actually difficult to decipher or identify letters in old texts. They are crowdsourcing all kinds of computer training. I think I should be paid…

At least on windows when I do it once, it waits awhile before it does it on the same website. On my mac, there are websites where it requires it EVERy damn time .

It is not just about selecting the right squares. How much you hesitate and your cursor movements also count. So if you move your mouse all over the place, it will fail. If your mouse movement is very methodical, like straight lines, it also fails.

Some places make you go there a few of them, even if all are correct. It’s not necessarily a fail if you don’t get in the first time.
I had to use a link from a merchant to pay for some furniture the other day, and I had to go through about 9 of the damned things. I was about ready to cancel the order.
