Should be a good one. Frank foster Thursday and Leanne Rimes Saturday. Weather looks good for the week.

Never been. Is it like other fairs in the Deep South where you’re taking your life in your hands? Or do normal people still go to it?

Well I’m pretty sure Washington Parish is famous for watermelons if that that tells you anything…

You won’t be taking your life into your own hands. It’s a family affair.

I threw up there on 3 different rides as a kid. All I got.

I recall getting German chocolate ice cream at the Palace in Franklinton 1981. That’s all I got.

I used to attend this fair pretty regularly as a kid. Took my own kids a few years back, and it didn't seem to have nearly the same amount of attractions/booths. They do still have some of the best fresh-made pork rinds though.

Do they charge an entry fee of $10.00 or more?

Wish I could go. Grew up there, brings back good memories of the parade, the performances on stage by the bands, choirs, and dance teams from all of the schools in the parish. Lots of rides on midway, good food. Some of my favorite child hood memories were of the fair.

Leanne Rimes has stumped down to the fair circuit? Quiot Riot or Twisted Sister were not available?

Her hits were over 20 years ago in 1996 when she was 11 years old.
She's definitely become hotter over since then.
