Who wants to help me figure out my aftermarket stereo in my truck?

I seem to be having an issue...
2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
Factory stereo works fine, but it's not bluetooth. So, I ask Santa for a Dual double din stereo from Walmart. I believe in lieu of just a simple harness, I'm gonna need the interface harness because i'm doing a backup camera as well. i seemed to have wired everything up correctly. here's how it looks.
radio red wire to harness red wire
radio yellow wire to harness yellow wire
radio black wire to harness black wire
radio speaker wires to harness speaker wires.
i plugged the stereo harness up to the factory harness.
then plugged the stereo harness to the new radio.
turn the key/crank the truck and the radio will not turn on.
i hit the power button on the radio and it turns on.
i turn the truck off with the radio on and the radio will remain on even upon opening the drivers door.
i can turn power off to the radio just like i turned it on, but that's not intuitive like it should be.
i figured maybe my GM truck has the constant and switch wires backwards so i put red to yellow and yellow to red.
same outcome.
i plug my old radio back into the truck and it functions just like it did before i uninstalled.
any thoughts?

Why get a stereo from WalMart? Let me guess, it’s a Jensen piece of shite?

Could be an issue with the ignition wiring not working with the aftermarket stereo.
Try running the ignition wire to a cigarette plug that comes on/off when you start/stop the truck

In my youth I’d play around with those wires till I had it figured out perhaps for hours. I had two systems installed recently. My biggest headache was getting a ride from and too the install place. Ah how sweet life is

Go to Crutchfield.com and see if they have the ready made harness/ connections for your year and model truck. As for back up camera, hard wire to back up light.
