Who to see about raising my home elevation?

Seems like after Katrina there was an influx of shady home elevation experts. Who is a reputable company to go with? This will be the 2nd time in 6 months I have stressed over my home flooding in Hammond.

Just hook it up to a truck and pull it to a different trailer park

I used Jim Holcomb. He was 1/5th the price of everyone else

This. I use to work at an engineering firm where we helped Katrina victims elevate their houses. The cheapest I remember was 30k and that was basically a trailer.

A decent sized house near me just spent $55k to raise it 2 feet. But it saved them over $20k/year for flood insurance since it started below flood elevation.

I got 3 quotes, all around $100k for my house. The big companies are still working off the premise that people have road home money. Smaller guys will adjust their prices if you're coming out of pocket. Ended up getting mine done for $27k

I would think house moving companies know how to raise houses and get applicable permits.
If they have an off season, then it may be cheaper. Especially since you are not relocating the house.

Your house is on a concrete slab?

I knew some people that used Devillier House leveler sand they did good work. This was after Ike so they had road home money.
