What’s funny. All the older Xmas movies. You notice they always put their trees up just days before Xmas?

My daddy told me when he was a kid it was tradition to go get their Christmas tree on Christmas eve. They would set it up and then take it down on New Years day.

He would take me shopping with him on Christmas Eve. We would right after lunch so he could go buy my mom's gift. The stores were not packed because by that time people had their stuff bought and they were traveling or preparing for whatever they were doing.. But mainly that's when you would really get a deal. Then we would go to his mom's house so she could wrap the gift he got my mom for him. Then get home just in time to get ready for mass..

He used to say Christmas wasn't supposed to be stressful. You go to the store, get what you need to get and be done with it.

Use the Al Bundy method. Drive around the neighborhood on Dec. 26th and pick out the best one out by the curb.

You can always find you one of those artificial ones.

Just get the biggest one available. You can probably find them at 25% off if they started cutting prices on inventory. Typically after Christmas those trees will be 50-75% off.

Each IMPORTED Christmas tree comes complete with a TRUMP import tax.

I don't. Last time I looked (3 years ago??) i could swear they were $100. Just threw an arbitrary number out there.

Those old timers had a fear of having a live tree with large bulbs near open burning fireplaces. I had a great-grandpa that once the last present was opened, my great-grandma would have to immediately start in decorating it and he threw it outside sometimes still decorated.

My parents even with the benefit of artificial tree, wouldn’t put it up till like the 15-20 because it wasn’t Christmas yet.

My wife put ours up during the Western Kentucky weekend. I like it if she does.
