I loved that place as a kid. We were always after our folks to bring us there.

If I remember right, a Pay One Price ticket to ride all the rides for a day/night was like $5.50 or something. We'd piss my dad off because instead of making the most out of that and riding as many rides as we could, we'd spend tons of time in the Arcade spending our quarters. (I put quite a few coins into that Stripper game ).

I don't remember the stripper game. Good call on the pay one price ticket. There was a hand stamp POP if I recall.

I remember seeing pics of Pontchartrain Beach hanging in the Popeyes in Mandeville as a kid.

Did you ever go to Lincoln Beach? It had long been closed but I went exploring a couple times by boat with my dad.

I remember a huge arse ransacked swimming pool and then various buildings all in ruin and graffiti etc. Pretty cool to walk around there.

rs Pontchartrain Beach?
My friend's step dad had some kind of ownership stake in the property and the new condos that were proposed. We were there all day and after everything was shut down and dark later that night we were walking around, pretty eerie and cool. We walked through the haunted house ride etc...

Anyway his step dad literally locked the chain and padlock on the gate and as we left I made it a point to let them step out first so I'd be the final customer.

I went the 2nd to last day... just to walk around... spent many a day/night there as a teen in the summer...

sad sad day for nola.... it was a shithole.. .but it was our shite hole...

the Z and the ragin cajun were fun.

Yep. And those condos that it was closed down for never materialized. I think the land is now part of UNO but I could be wrong.

For sure..i remember being very scared of the zephyr but kept going on it. Music Express was pretty cool too.
