Or the entire debacle with Bash at the Beach 2000 and Hogan.

I see the beginning of the end was when Goldberg dropped the title at Starcade.

aol/time warner merger is what truly killed wcw. daddy ted always had a soft spot for wrestling...after the merger the suits wanted nothing to do with it.

I remember when Monday Nitro went to a 3 hour show. That was wild.

Yeah a huge fall. That was the last time frame that I watched wrasslin. Those angles were fricking god awful. Practically unwatchable.

Also Russo was an idiot yeah of course. But he tried to recreate the Attitude Era in WCW but their bosses still thought it was 1980 so they basically had to ask permission to say arse while Jenna Jameson is blowing Val Venis on Raw.

. Not that there wasn't "silly moments" back then,
Remember this gem from WWE back then. Good times. Attitude era was the best.

Idk, I stopped watching wrestling my junior year of high school

Yeah very shitty booking and programming

We used to love Thursday Night nitro in high school. My screen name is a play off of a character from NWO.

Ted turner sold his empire and the new regime didn’t care about wrestling was basically what happened to WCW.

Yeah that's why they officially closed but the product was terrible for 3 years.

Nitro was Monday nights. Thunder was Thursday nights. Plus they had the saturday night show too. It got too saturated and when Russo took over and Bischoff was gone, it went downhill quick.
Plus Thunder was filmed like a week in advance and Nitro was live, so they had to make damn sure whatever happened on Nitro meshed up storyline wise with Thunder later on that week. Throw in the Saturday day show, which was usually for low to mid-carders but every now and then would have something to do with a main storyline. Talk about a booking nightmare. Nash did a shoot on it,

WCW Saturday Night was atrocious. Low budget program with nothing but jobbers.

Heenan shoots bury WCW
He says Bischoff told him to shut up because he was just an announcer. After that the Brain said he was just cashing checks and frick those guys.

WCW Worldwide sucked major arse too

And then there was the Sunday afternoon show on TBS. Or was that just a repeat of the Saturday night show? I can’t remember. I was pro WWE in the Monday Night Wars but I watched wrestling anytime I could find it on.
WWE had Raw, Smackdown, Velocity/Jakked, and Sunday Night Heat all going at the same time, but they seemed to be able to make them all flow a lot better with higher production quality.
