Had to go there a while back. It’s a depressing town TBH. Their big paper mill closed 20 years ago and it’s been gutted. Lots of defense related jobs but most of those people seem to commute from El Dorado or somewhere else.
But if you are just getting a rental there to stay a few days a week it should be fine.

White House Cafe is would be my go to place. Have been eating there since I was a very young.

I haven't been there in at least 20 years. Lots of pine trees and ......diversity.
