Kind of hard to do if you work at a computer. I'm about to need glasses unfortunately. I'm 47 and my eyes finally are going to shite after having 20/20 most of my life. Oh well, made it longer than most

I wouldn't see an optometrist or ophthalmologist (NP, PA etc) in BR. the overall care is below satisfactory in the state of LA. Best bet is to go to Florida, Texas, or Arizona or Georgia (major cities) if you can afford it.

Get tested for binocular vision dysfunction. Do a little research on it and see if it’s a possibility.
I ended up buying Neurolenses due to a slight eye misalignment. They’re a type of prism lens that’s supposed to help with a lot of the symptoms you’ve described.

Dr. Calix is great. Worth the trip to Nola.
It may involve more than just the eye. She can help determine this.

I’m in my mid 60’s and have astigmatism and lattice degeneration, which is a retinal disorder. Having prisms in my glasses makes a huge difference for me. I see 3 specialists at Eye Medical Center.
Daniel Nelson Cornea specialist, did my cataract surgeries.
Jamie Hatcher Retina specialist.
Candace Collins Eye muscle disorder specialist. Dr Nelson referred me to her to write the rx for my glasses; he said she is the best for someone that needs prisms. I think she is the only eye muscle disorder specialist in the area, and only sees patients twice a week. She may be a great option if you’re not getting a clear diagnosis from your current Dr.
I hope you’re able to get this resolved; it can really impact your quality of life.
