I get why they’re looking at using 2018 info, but how were they planning to make that work with joint tax returns for people who are now divorced and for kids born after 2018?

If you have enough money to donate a “stimulus” check, you probably make too much and won’t be getting one.
I spend a lot more than $1000 on donation and ticket costs for season tickets every year. Looking like we will all be saving that ticket money this year.

They'll pass some modified form of this bill and both sides will act like they are unhappy with it.
It's the way this always works. Neither party will want to be seen as being responsible for an economic collapse.

It's still bs. I'm hardly obscenely wealthy, and I have 2 second sources of income that have now completely evaporated. I'll get absolutely nothing while likely having to take a bath on inventory for one of the secondary sources of income.
