I worked in Calgary one summer as the new head couldn't be there for a couple of months and they needed someone to make decisions.
One it was the rainiest summer ever. I have a cartoon of mushrooms growing in a carpet as the husband said to the wife, " Why didn't the Post Office strike before taxes were due?", because the Post was on strike the entire time I was there and that was a pain.
It was the middle of summer and the roses hadn't bloomed yet.
Fondest memory was at the hotel and it was during Stampede and an elderly couple were going down to dinner. He was a cowboy, bowlegged as can be, and they were holding hands, and both had on their bedroom slippers.
And I had one glorious Saturday skinny dipping up in the mountains about a tenth of a mile off the main highway.
