It wasn't a joke (at least I don't think it was). You were saying that the northwest is the only place for you. Italy is the shite. If I could live in one place in the entire world, that would be it.

Yep. One of the few that got to keep my gif of the smiling doberman. They took it away about a year ago. I have avys and sigs turned off, so out of sight, out of mind

I know several people who grew up in rough areas and none of them blackball or feel ashamed of their hometown. Even poor disenfranchised people who make it to become successful professionals in life don't regret or belittle the city that provided their upbringing.

I didn't live in NBR my entire time in BR. I lived in other areas as well. It's just not for me. I wouldn't move back to Louisiana in general tbh. No mountains no care.

Just checking. My companies corporate office is in bologna. Have the opportunity to work there for 6 months at a time, but with a one year old, just isn't happening right now.

Even if there aren't grey skies in BR, what are you going to do? Can't walk anywhere in this city.

I did. Went to Chapel/Trafton elementary until we moved. Will not move back. Love BR for family, food, and football though.

Yeah I seriously hate the rain. It makes me physically feel depressed. Never realized how much it affected me until I moved away. The constant sunny days here is perfect for me.

If I ever moved it would have to be to another place with lots of sunshine and mountains nearby and no severe cold weather, no major natural disasters and no humidity.

Grew up in BR, went to CHS. Had the opportunity to go to college out of state, came back to BR for a job upon graduation. I don't mind it considering my close childhood friends and family are all still here but if that weren't the case I'd be out of here in an instant.

That's a little misleading. It might rain a tenth of an inch or less those days. Remember Baton Rouge gets more annual rainfall than Seattle. We just have more "rainy days"

One day I will go. From the slideshows they show us every quarterly meeting, looks like a great place. Lots of history. Oldest University in the world, they say

You make opportunities for yourself. I grew up in BR and don't live there now, but would move back if it made sense for me,

I did, live in Dallas now. I love Baton Rouge, it will always be one of my favorite places on earth. As far as living there again, I dk... That would involve seeing my parents and uncles and stuff soooo often, I would do it I suppose, but I'm not seeking it out
