Turning left is a dangerous maneuver. The driver is crossing over someone else’s lane.

If they are turning from 2 lane road to 4 lane road, they can and should both go at the same time.

Unless there is a yield sign for the person turning right.
Four lane road with an extra lane for left/right turn. Wife got mad at left turn driver that honked horn at her when he had the left turn green. She was turning right on red after full stop. Light was still red for going straight. Argument ensued.
Next time we passed this intersection, I pointed out the yield sign. New argument ensued.

I would have agreed once with you, but apparently if they turn in front of you and "have command" of the lane then they have ROW. I was charged with an accident because I hit a fool that turned in front of me. I told the officer no way did he have commans of the lane. Didnt matter.
