Thx. Was thinking about checking it out. LA Nursery has gotten outrageous. I hate spending that much $$ on a tree that will get thrown in the trash in 3-4 weeks but it's a battle I have a hard time winning with the wife.

Was about to post this. All the trees are grown at LSU's Lee forest. They are cut, and sold by the students with all money going back into the forestry school.

It is a battle I never win. Wife grew up poor (relatively speaking) and they never got presents for Christmas but they always had a real tree and her mom made a big deal out of it so they could have something special for the season. Now it is something she has to do too, but our kids get a metric frick ton of presents.

ETA conversely I grew up with a fake tree that I had to haul down from the attic, had to help decorate cause my mom is physically unable to and always got presents so the tree and décor only represented shite I didn't want to do.

HA! They range me up wrong at Home Depot and I paid $40 for my 8-9 foot tree.
