You would be surprised how much money many of those places leave on the table. They have no idea what are their big sellers, how much they lose on products with a shelf life. Energy drinks are the biggest sellers at convenient, there are places who didn't even sell it in their stores...
When you increase a store's revenue by $20k-$50k (sometimes less a few times more) annually, its a pretty good investment for them.
