The god emperor of man. Warhammer 40k.
Only thing that could hurt him was the Anathema. Well and him being stupid as frick and not naming The Lion as warmaster over Horus.
Literally could 1vthe world.

As far as the most powerful scifi being, I have no idea. But most are discussing the most powerful fantasy being who happens to be in a scifi setting.

You can make some points for all, but the final answer is Q.

He controlled everything with just a thought in his mind. He could send Thanos to the center of a star with a snap of his fingers.

Kevin Uxbridge, the last Dowd from Star Trek TNG, killed 50 billion people in a moment's anger - wiped an entire species from existence with a thought.

Q would be destroyed by Thanos with the IG

The Q are omnipotent. The only way a Q can be destroyed is by their own Q continuum, and even then the one who wanted to die had to petition the continuum for the right to do it.

It's the very definition of omnipotent that nothing can be more powerful.

If omnipotent beings arent allowed to do omnipotent things, then are they truly omnipotent?

One Above All

Is responsible for the existence of all life in the Marvel Multiverse. The One-Above-All is the master of the cosmic overseer and arbitrator known as the Living Tribunal. This character is also known as "Above-All-Others", exists beyond all forms of time and space, since they are all part of his creation, and alternates between appearing as a male and female

I would say the Borg, but there always seems to be some really obvious flaw that makes it too easy to kill them.

Omnipotent means they can do anything, except the things they can't do.
