I'm also curious as to what a perennially poor family would do with a gigantic plot of land in North Alabama. Are they going to farm it or something? Or just sell it and pocket the proceeds?

I was thinking about that too. If I give poor people a $400,000 house on 200 acres, how long will it be before they default on the property taxes?
