I have three sound machines in my room. Two set to pink and the other set to brown.

For anyone interested:

All noise profiles are artificially generated static.
- White noise is sound that generates the static evenly and equally across all frequencies.
- Pink noise reduces the amplitude of the higher frequencies only, leaving the lower and mid frequencies even
- Brown noise reduces the higher frequencies like pink noise but additionally boosts the lower frequencies

The color descriptions come from the light spectrum.
- White light is light with all wavelengths distributed evenly across the specturm.
- Pink light, with a reduction of the higher wavelengths (blue and violet) has a pink-ish tint.
- Boosting lower wavelengths (red and orange) of pink light pushes the color to brown.

. . . The more you know.
