but either way it was false.

If the past 4+ years have taught me anything it is that this doesn't matter one damn bit.

Robinhood committed suicide. It wasn’t an accident.

Robinhood will likely lose a lot of people from this so it wouldn't surprise me if they try to blame it on someone else. I would have to question why did they only ask Robinhood to do this, but if this did really happen then it goes to show you that party doesn't mean anything.

Both parties depend on donors and its not the individual investors who invest a lot of money into campaigns.

And you people are loyal to parties.

But like I said, Robinhood didn't help their brand today so it wouldn't surprise me if they are trying to do some bullshite out there to try to minimize the damage. Either way, nothing will surprise me.

Trump was dragged through the mud for less than this. Surely that means the current WH will get their share of criticism right?

anyone that doesn't see this is either dumb or blinded by their own bias

Trump encouraged people to storm the Capitol in order to overturn an election. I wouldn't consider that "that than this".

And if you don't think he did, there are people who stormed the capitol saying they did so because their president told them to.

quote:

“I was in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021, because I believed I was following the instructions of former President Trump and he was my president and the commander-in-chief. His statements also had me believing the election was stolen from him,” Miller said.

What do you mean by done? They are still operating so if you are saying they will file bankruptcy, that is my whole point you moron.

They are trying to save face at this point. Whats the best way to do that? To say,.. "It wasn't our fault".

The first paragraph describes it more succinctly:
quote:

A Texas man charged with invading the Capitol and threatening Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said Monday that he was effectively following then-President Donald Trump’s orders when he joined a mob that stormed Congress on Jan. 6.

Obviously, he's was only "effectively following" orders because if someone can show where Trump said "Storm the Capitol Building" or anything similar, it would have been PLASTERED all over the place.

The fact that we haven't seen a smoking gun leads me to believe it's a bit of a reach to say Trump "ordered" the storming of the building.

Biden doesn’t want the stonk market crashing. It’s his only saving grace. When the bottom falls out of that, 2022 should be a shoe in for the right.

Where's it say they stormed the capital because Trump told them to?

Ignoring that false assumption you're making. Are you saying that president Trump deserved the 98% of negative coverage he received?

quote:

Harvard’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy published a new study that highlighted the media’s immense bias in its coverage of the president.

quote:

According to the study of media organizations – CNN, NBC, New York Times, Washington Post, BBC and even Fox News – up to 98 percent of the Trump press coverage was reported with a negative tone. All of the topics covered, except one, had mostly negative news coverage: immigration (96 percent negative), healthcare (87 percent negative), trade (84 percent negative), personnel (82 percent).

link to the study

I'm not saying that the Whitehouse was behind shutting down Robinhood. Whether they did or not doesn't change my point. My point is that if Trump were still in office, this one Robinhood employee stating that the WH was behind it would be MORE than enough proof for you and 98% of the media to want to hang him from a tree "on behalf of the little man being fricked over."

Well he said this.

quote:

“Republicans are constantly fighting like a boxer with his hands tied behind his back. It’s like a boxer. And we want to be so nice. We want to be so respectful of everybody, including bad people. And we’re going to have to fight much harder. …

“We’re going to walk down to the Capitol, and we’re going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women, and we’re probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them, because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong.”

NY Times

His son's speech that morning.
Youtube

He uses his son as a proxy. That's how Trump works.

Here they are.. All watching it go down.. All gathered as if they are watching a football game or something.

Youtube.

His twitter page is deleted, but he did say in a tweet "we have to storm the capitol".

I understand there is nothing that will convince some of you that he did anything to encourage people to do what they did. I get it. No one likes to think that someone they have loyally supported would do these things because he truly loves this country and that the election was really stolen from him (despite the fact he filed 86 lawsuits that were thrown out by 86 judges because of lack of evidence.. And there is audio of him telling the Georgia SOS how many votes he needs to win and for him to find them for him.. I am sure it was taken out of context right?)... But yeah Trump is a great guy. He tried everything else he could to try to get the results overturned, but its crazy to think he would do something to disrupt the last process that makes the election results official.

Which is my point exactly. One person said something that MIGHT be construed as Trump told them to storm the capital (he didn't) yet this poster describes it as fact. Case and point.

The only reason the former president Trump made it past the republican primaries is because of the media. They put all of their attention on him because he made news. They rarely talked about the other candidates.

But that's what he does. He knows how it works. You give the media something entertaining and they will report it. They took his bait and pretty much drowned out everyone else.

When he became president he didn't help himself. He pissed off people in the media so you think they are going to give him coverage that favors him? Im not saying its right or wrong, I am saying that's how it works
