Moms has different techniques for dealing with the bunch she teaches. It's been working for years. I also have a good friends mom and she was at Jon Mac before the storm and they didn't play with her and yes she kept it real. What I'm saying is if u think these kids especially since she teaches high school are gonna be able to relate to a prim a proper white girl at a predominantly black public school ur crazy. You must first relate to them and then when u can relate you can deliver the message and the kids will start to buy in.

Her message about the Tamir Rice situation was pretty spot on. However, she should have also mentioned to her audience that there are always consequences to your actions... actions such as pointing a realistic looking gun at people in a park, and putting your hand on that same weapon when the cops roll up to you. The cops, and no one else, know if you intend to throw the weapon down, show it to them, or point it at them. But it was a sad situation all around.

why is it so difficult for some of you to accept that if a white person as raised in an environment where others speak like this, she will as well?

I made it through majority of the video.

All she is trying to say is that black minorities have the deck stacked against them even before we are old enough to face the world (ie graduate from highschool / GED and pursue our own destiny.)

Her message was clear enough. Granted, I think she should speak in a more tactful manner when giving a viral video. However she is just being honest and I personally agree with her major points.

People like her have to adapt to there environment, just like people are expected to adapt to work or school.
