nd we've even played where you do not buy anything but instead take something, literally anything from your house that you don't want or use anymore that you would otherwise throw away. You'd be surprised at the crazy stuff that gets brought to that one, and how funny it was watching some people actually want the shite others were literally trying to get rid of lol
These are usually my favorite with the right crowd. We do this with my family every year and I love it. One time someone brought an (unused) toilet seat

LL- I think it should be known beforehand which type it is.
My family does the nice gift one and then fights to the death over items they could easily buy themselves because we are a little crazy.
A job I worked at for years also did nice things-mostly alcohol and an occasional old lady with bed bath and beyond candles or a restaurant gift card.
I am fascinated by the ones with the gag gifts but have never actually been to one. I think it would be hilarious.

Yule log. Not a log. I don' have a log. I mean, you know, if I had a log, not in the sense that you think I said I did.

quote:We usually throw in a couple of these because we have a few kids and teenagers that play in our family. It actually is groups of adults and their children so it becomes family group stealing to help everyone in each "family" get something they want and hilarity ensues when a 15 year old steals a total mom gift or the bottle of bourbon. Then mom steals the reeses. But we have a huge family so this works and is still funny.
I've given a santa sack with 40lb of Reese's in it.
40lbs of Reese's big cups.

Has anyone mentioned the glass icicle? Would make a nice seasonal conversation piece.

I heard, from folks that went to UT, that they keep your beer cold too.

Get what you want, pick it when your turn or steal it.
