The tone of voice used as they explain things that no person capable of using their brain-cells could possibly believe is maddening. Best to just nod your head and move on. They can't handle being asked to actually think independently. And its only a vocal fraction of that generation, btw.

Also worth remembering that Baby Boomers were generally Leftist in persuasion before they became Reaganites.

Gen Xers started political correctness and harped on identity politics before becoming libertarians.
