Which is worse?

So I've had two types of roommates:

One that would make a big meal consisting of a main course, such as spaghetti, and have a few sides, such as green beans/corn with some bread. After he finished eating he would just throw away all the leftovers when cleaning up the kitchen.

The second would buy whatever they need for that meal, even if we already had it in our fridge or pantry. After cooking, they would then box up everything and leave it in the fridge letting it take up room and not eating it while it goes bad. In two different instances he bought a whole bag of avocados to make guacamole. After making it there would still be about 8 avocados left rotting in the fridge. The second instance, he decided to use all of the avocados leaving our fridge with 4 tupperware containers full a guac. They sat there for about a month rotting and eventually the tops popped off from gas and liquid started to leak out. We also have 3 bags of frozen store bought salmon that's been there since August. Also what annoys me about him is when he makes tacos, he doesn't drain any of the grease from the ground meat.

Even though what the second roommate does is more annoying, I'd much rather live with that because when he makes something good, I can actually sneak some of the leftovers.

Also, don't tell me to just talk to him about, we already have.
