Sears Tower to Willis Tower has to be one of the least successful all time. No one, and I mean absolutely no one, calls that building the Willis Tower

Prince changing to "The Symbol" was actually smart on his part as the record company claimed to own rights to his name. Changing his name allowed for him to pocket more of his money and not the record company...or something to that effect

Not sure why the Zephyr's changed their name.

The trend in minor league baseball was to come up with silly names and mascots to sell more apparel.

But not before they completely ruined their brand with all the shite they’ve put on their service now.

thats why they changed it in the first place. they didnt want to put a bunch fo crap on there under the HBO name and have HBO associated with poor quality stuff. This was planned this way

Dixie beer had a TV ad long ago 70's maybe, which actually said "who would drink a beer called Faubourg?"

I think the intent was to poke fun at the popularity of German named beers like Budweiser, Schlitz, Pabst, etc. by pointing out that Dixie was brewed by a German family.

WRT to Aunt Jemima, you can tell how well a brand sells in a grocery store by the shelf space and positioning allotted to it, HEB here in Texas, which itself has woke tendencies, used the rebranding as an opportunity to push its in-store brands and relegated Pearl to bottom shelf with half the space ol' Aunt J had.

Randall's, which didn't have a super competitive house brand, also relegated them to less and lower shelf space. From what I have observed in stores throughout Texas, Pearl has never recovered the market share of Aunt J. Their shelf space/position is nowhere near what it was in either store. Idiots.

B) changing from Dixie Beer to Faubourg Beer

As another poster stated, Dixie beer was bought and sold solely on the name and nostalgia. They changed the only reason that anyone bought it in the first place, and the funniest part of it all was when they doubled down when they stopped production at the brewery, and told the media it was because they couldn't keep up with demand.

I always thought that Redman chewing tobacco would survive because none of the cancel people know it exists. I was wrong, now it is "America's Best."
