Gotta go with Middle Tennessee. Caught a George Carlin performance at the Ryman in 2004 and remember summer trips to Opryland USA.

Bristol, TN is closer to Canada than it is to Memphis.

Lived here since 09 and did not know this.

County due north of us is in Middle Tennessee while we (Cumberland) are in Eastern Tennessee.

Middle. My ancestors came across the Atlantic and settled in Middle Tennessee, and we've been here since.

Between that and East Tennessee being solidly pro Union during the Civil War, I’m honestly surprised why East Tennessee’s government-in-exile didn't petition Congress for statehood like West Virginia did.

No reason to remain in a state run by monied plantation interest in West Tennessee that has dragged you into an unpopular war when you might as well consider Canadians as closer to you than your own fellow Tennesseans.

North Carolina shares lotsa similar geographical quirks.

The farthest distance in NC from east-to-west is stupendous.

It would take you a hard day of driving to complete it.

OP: I hate that Rocky Top shite. Don’t care.

I lived in Middle TN and loved every bit of it, but if pushed, I’m going with the people of East TN.
