1994: OJ Simpson chase
1995: OKC bombing (T. McVeigh)
In the hospital for both of these
1998: President Clinton addressing the nation for the first (honest) time on Lewinsky.
Don't remember. I was 9
1998: Mark McGwire breaks 61
At my aunt and uncle'shouse
2001: 9/11
7th grade football practice. I walked into algebra and my teacher was crying. I had no clue why until she put the TV on.
2001: TV shows bombs being dropped on Afghanistan
2003: Hussein's statue is toppled
2005: 1st images of Katrina (some of you will have seen it much more personally than via TV)
Don't remember for any of these
2008: Obama is declared president
Unfortunately, on a college campus. About the worst place possible for that event.
2011: Bin Laden announced as deceased
In the message center room on a Navy ship. I knew about this before it was released to the public.

That was my 60th birthday and we were vacationing in Asheville NC. Was expecting my birthday bj when the second plane slammed into the tower. Wife was in no mood after that. Really bad day.
