I'll be at a company conference in downtown Houston for the next 3 days. What is there to do at night?
Bars, Clubs, etc.
It'll be a bunch of us trying to get trashed, probably.
I'm 21 if that helps.

Don't bother. No culture here.

At 21, I'd check out some of the bars in Midtown. That's sort of the hot area for you kids. Just do a google search for Midtown bars. I'm to old to go to those places so hang out more in random dive bars around town.

Midtown for sure. 3rd Floor, Shot bar, and pub fiction are also solid for what you're liking for.

Definitely take the very short cab ride to Midtown. There isn't shite to do in downtown as far as nightlife. Go to Pub Fiction, Celtic, Woodrow's, Third Floor, Front Porch, Dogwood, etc

In north downtown you can go to Captain Foxhearts, Little Dipper, Pastry War, Warren's, La Carafe, Flying Saucer, Hearsay, Etc.
They're all within 2-3 blocks of each other so it makes it easy to bar hop. Then you can go to Franks for pizza or Niko Niko's for a gyro.

My favorite bar in downtown is Okra, but at your age I would suggest going to midtown.

Jesus I haven't been to Red Door since I was in college before I moved to Midtown. Place is off the rails

Limelight is off the rails, literally.

shite, I didn't see that he's 21...definitely go to midtown. Most of the bars in north downtown are for the 25-35 young professional crowd.

Been once and will not be going back

After 5PM downtown Houston resembles a post apocalyptic city that's over run by homeless people. It's actually really strange

Hearsay is badass though. Very cool place to get drinks after work if you work downtown

Get in a cab and get over to midtown.
Midtown
Little Woodrows (midtown) - Best Patio Bar
Mongoose vs. Cobra - Best Beer Garden / cocktail
Brooklyn Athletic Club - Outdoor games, great food, very good drinks (Ping pong, putting green, bocce ball)
Dogwood - Good overall bar
Proof - Rooftop patio bar
Howl at the moon - Piano bar
Downtown
The Pastry War - It's a bar....
Okra
Flying Saucer
El Big Bad
Hearsay (the best out of the downtown bars. Awesome drinks and very cool vibe)
If you are looking to go a bit further, get a crew together and head out to Cedar Creek (10 min ride). Great vibe

But in downtown you should check out Springbok. New bar opened up on main street. Really good setup for World Cup too.
