I've got friends that kayak fish on the coast that carry a small bottle of bleach mixed with water to wash any puncture or abrasion they get while fishing to help ward off vibrio. That or beta dyne is a must in south Louisiana water in the summer.

Takes about 15 minutes at Albertson's if you have insurance with paper work to be completed. If not, approx. $60 in cash & takes bout 2 minutes.

I got a tetanus shot at a CVS Clinic in one of their pharmacies.
