WHERE TO DONATE ?

Have a vendor that is willing to donate 25g to flood relief. Not intersted in doling it out piecemeal. Not impressed with Red Cross. Apparently they donated a lot of money after Sandy, only to find out that possibly as little as 25% of all of the money raised for Sandy relief actually made it down to the affected people level.
Where can it do the most good, for the most people?

Not the Red Cross.
Just buy sheet rock, lumber, bora-care and ship it to a local church in these parts.

If it was me I'd piecemeal it. But if he is wanting to do one $25k donation, first thing is thank him tremendously.
But for real I'm not religious at all but the place I would go with my check of that large amount where I would be most confident that is would be used to fill the gaps of people in need to get them from partially put back together from fema to whole again, would be the Catholc Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge.
I have heard that Healing place which is non denominational I believe does great work for the community, I just don't know if they have the organization in place that the diocese has had for centuries in Louisiana.
Best of luck and thank him from SS

No problem, I believe they are planning on distributing to various churches doing relief work as well. It's all going to stay local, at least.
