Near the overpass, downtown or mid city

It depends on traffic and where your office is too.

Eta: Only other places I considered living then were University Gardens and Crescent at University Lake. I moved to New Orleans, so that never happened

It would be a cool place to live, no doubt, but it's ridiculously overpriced considering what you get.

I enjoy living right next to Towne Center. Not so cheap that you have substandard neighbors, but not so expensive that it's not affordable. Very close proximity to many restaurants and bars as well.
