Usually the most scenic and beautiful parts of the country are too expensive for "backwards" people.

I think you're off track here. Gods Country is a generic term given to any area with natural beauty and few inhabitants.

Not much can rival a religious zealot other than someone who feels the need to constantly tell people religion is a sham. Both parties are insufferable, but congratulations on your enlightenment I guess.
