$15k

quote:

Children might be small in stature, but let's be honest, they can be rather destructive when left to their own devices.

Such is the case with a young Chinese boy, who single-handedly pushed over a giant fox figurine of Nick from Zootopia on Sunday at the LEGO Expo in Ningbo, China.

It so happened that it was the first day of the exhibition and the display had been open to the public for no more than an hour when the incident occurred.

The LEGO figurine is said to cost more than 100,000 yuan ($15,170).

Article says it took the guy 3 days to build that one statue.

And if I was that kid I would have gotten the spanking of all spankings when I got home from my parents. Plus grounded for a really long time.

If only I could give more than one upvote. I tell my nephew that everytime he builds one of those $100 star wars legos and then drops it. Never to be able to get it right again.

To be fair, the parents offered compensation for it.

That is far too kind. What you need to do is have him quickly walk/run down a dark hallway 100 times and before each run you randomly leave 2 or 3 bricks out there. He may only step on them once every few runs but the not knowing when it is going to happen is the real torture plus for some reason nothing hurts like stepping on a lego brick when you aren't expecting it.

I'd have offered no more than $100. Labor rates in China are dirt cheap, after all.
