You have to realize that many of these guys are middle aged (35-55) southern conservatives who's daddy's went to klan rally's or get nostalgic about how their parents treated their minority nannies so well. People that list black co workers as their friends.
I mean they get giddy about the time paw paw took them to a George Wallace rally.
