Working then will drive 1 1/2 hrs to in-laws. Wake up, do Christmas with the kids and then drive 1 1/2 hrs back to work.

I have both Christmas Eve and Christmas day off. Which is very rare for me. So I'm just gonna enjoy both days. Movies today, church tonight. Tomorrow, relaxing in pjs during the day, inlaws house tomorrow afternoon.
My husband and his mom are not getting along right now, so tomorrow evening should be interesting.

This afternoon going to my husband's grandmother's house with most of his aunts and uncles and cousins. She is 90 and has been very ill this year and we are afraid this may be her last Christmas.
Tonight and tomorrow morning at home with my husband and kids. My oldest is 17 so after this year, we only have one more Christmas with him as a "kid" living at home before he goes to college.
Tomorrow after lunch, driving to my sister's house in Birmingham to be with my parents and my sister's family. Coming back home after dinner. Sister is only an hour away.
Then it's pajamas and Netflix and college football until I go back to work on the the 3rd.

How do you work out spending Christmas with your side of the family, if you don't mind me asking?

We don't have this problem....my parents are in LA, I'm in AZ. I do have an aunt and cousin that recently moved to AZ so my inlaws usually invite them to any holiday stuff as well. I'm seeing my aunt later today(my cousin is overseas right now) and will invite her to inlaws tomorrow...although if I were her I'd just stay home
Even if I wanted to ever travel to LA for Christmas my work would never let me. It's really busy at the hospital this time of year so they wouldn't let us take off enough days off to make it worthwhile to travel.

My parents just moved to Florida for my dad's job so we're still in the midst of unpacking since we got here yesterday. Not going to be a traditional Christmas with extended family, trees, decorations, etc... Kinda disappointinf

Yes, I figured, which is why I asked. Have they visited AZ before?

Twice(both times I helped pay for airfare). My parents are pretty poor though so holiday travel isn't something in their budget.

Pretty much the same with my wife's and also my own extended family. We live in completely different worlds. It's still always great when we visit.

Hows your sister doing? I remember you talking about how she is mentally challenged and works at Walmart.
