We’ve got a new one, less than 6 months old.

It’s completely automated on the inside you order from a kiosk and there’s only seating for a dozen people, there’s a counter where your order is picked up, no registers, no drink station, no condiments, nor napkins. If you’ve chosen to eat inside, a barely functioning austere mute brings out your food in a bag, no trays, to the assigned table number procured at the kiosk at the time of order.

If you want any type of human interaction you have to go through the dual drive through lanes. An absolutely miserable experience, unless you enjoy incarceration.

These new McDonald’s are completely prefabricated and brought in on a truck. This one was up in less than a week and has that look and feel as well. We are regressing as a society.

Yes, many of the newer McDonald's restaurants are being built using prefabricated modular construction methods.

Yeah we have one here, the only fast food outside food carts. Their starting pay is $20.

Order thru a kiosk inside or drive thru, much less interior seating.

Look at that big Chrysler Imperial in front of McDonald's!

Is that a Nash Rambler in front of Burger King?

We've got the same McDonald's here in Ruston, LA. I hate it as much as you do. It's the slowest McDonald's I've ever ordered from, whether you go inside or use their two lane drive thru.

Gen Z undeniably buys less “shite” than previous generations. They spend their money online and on experiences. This is a fact.

The modern look has been sold to hipsters because they have no soul.

The same hipsters that flock to retro designed shops and restaurants and fight over mid-century Danish or Italian Space Age design pieces?

Literally the marketing scheme that made McDonald’s successful.

Not sure why the started marketing for middle aged message board nerds.
