Is bullshite. I get sick and tired of hearing this incredibly ignorant phrase. Only fools, narcissists and those who look for a fight say this, and even then, I'd bet the farm that most of you don't practice this in reality because as a free, normally-functioning man in a free society, you couldn't exist as such. See your downvote-to-upvote ratio for how unreasonably illogical your worldview really is.

Respect is as universal as thirst and sleep: Every man and woman is due a certain level of respect as a part of his or her's dignity owed to them as a human being because, just like thirst and sleep, we need it as a part of our humanity. I'm owed your respect as a part of my humanity-until I prove to you otherwise. It places the responsibility of maintaining your respect for my person onto my shoulders, not yours, and vice versa: If I lose your respect, it is the fault of mine and mine alone, and just like losing sleep, losing your respect as a fault of my own doing is a devastating sentence.

This a cornerstone of humanity because it is how a man is kept honest to his fellow men. The phrase "respect is earned," is a nightmarish fairytale and a lie.

To say that I have to "earn" your respect is ridiculous. I don't owe you a damned thing, except to reciprocate- reciprocate- what I myself am due: your dignity as a man.

I'm making assumptions here, but you sound like you're the type who just likes to fight. We all know that guy, and I used to be one. Many moons ago I got into the last fight I've ever been in...and I was stabbed with a 6" Buck knife and came within a tit-hair of having to shite into a bag the rest of my life. Know this: You'll wind up in jail or in a morgue if you keep on keepin' on with your absolutely ignorant worldview that another man owes you respect, and yet he must earn yours- or else.

Don't be a hypocrite, because going off of your quote, you are. The measure of man is not in his willingness to fight, but in his willingness to rise above childish, boyish things. If a man gives you a reason to rescind respect for him then rescind it, and if he gives you a reason to go to battle then go, but one thing is for sure: The former wins the war, and winning the war is all that matters.

I get into fights pretty regularly at my son’s travel league baseball games. I’m a passionate supporter of my son playing ball. He’s getting older and he and his friends seem to be losing interest because it takes up much of their summers.

Anyway, sure I can be a bit mouthy at games but there’s always some a-hole dad for the other team that makes it a point to get into it with me. I’ve had some knock down-drag outs but I always come out on top. Always ends up with some douchebag police arresting me and escorting me to the car. Dicks don’t even tell me most of the time what they’re even arresting me for. I thought this was America, but apparently not. I thought this was America.

So not a fire fight?

I try to get in at least one every day.

Why just this morning. Five big biker dudes, might have been six, I was so furious I lost count. Walked by me in the grocery store. One looked at me hard.

I immediately tore his arm completely off and used it like a club to beat the other guys half to death.

Now I have a warrant out for my arrest and I am banned from Publix.

If he wouldnt say shite like this everyone would leave him alone..

We were in a store in Cortana mall... This was before the mall of louisiana existed. I was off looking at something and these two dudes passed by me and told me something about being in a wheelchair. Like, trying to frick with me.

When I was going back to where my friends were, I passed them and kind of ran into them, really just threw my shoulder into one. And I started talking to the dudes I was with. When they saw I was with other people, they left out the store. I told my friends what happened so they wanted to go find them. We saw them and started following them and wanted them to come back and over "tell me what you said to me in the store".

They started telling us to stop following them. We backs off to see where they would go, they went into a store and when they came back out I kind of pushed the dude who was talking shite. He turned around and threw me out of my wheelchair, my friend grabbed him and threw him into a display with some table and chairs and started hitting him. I started crawling over, for some reason the other dude ran at me, my other friend grabbed him and punched the piss out of him and that's when people came break it up and security came.

This one dude got mad at me and clotheslined me, my chair flipped back, I flipped out my chair and then spit on the dude and we were seriously going to fight.. I use to be a cocky little fricker. I had to be.. especially to people who didn't know me well.. Kids are going to frick with someone in a wheelchair, especially if that person doesn't tell them anything back or does nothing about it. Sometimes I had to cause a scene to make sure someone didn't think they could just frick with me.
