so very sorry to hear about your fiancé.
trusting God in the hardest days of this life is something that I don't think any of us knows how to do consistently- but you can know and trust that He has not left y'all nor forsaken y'all even though metastatic cancer is an awful diagnosis to get.
I will keep you and Shelby in my prayers.

You have my prayers.
What type?
Her age?
Where are you?

You should really consider heading to MD Anderson as soon as possible. They are the leading experts in the country and will likely have multiple options for treatment. Whatever you do, don’t give up and don’t stop fighting. Just because someone locally says there are no options doesn’t mean that it’s true. There may be a new trial or brand new treatment options at MD Anderson or Mayo

What you are experiencing is gut wrenching. I am sorry life’s circumstances have you in this horrible place, but lean on the Lord. He will never forsake you. Life is not fair, but keep praying. I will pray for you both and wish you peace.

Thank you for your encouragement. And thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers.
Unfortunately Shelby was born with Neurofibromotisis which I’m sure is spelled wrong.
It’s a genetic disorder that screws up her prognosis in a way that only a doctor could tell us.
I’m grateful for the support here, I’m backed into a corner where I have to be strong for her while feeling weak myself. Truly grateful for the support.

Metastatic breast cancer.
She’s only 45.
I’m from GA, she is from Charleston, SC.
We’re both in Eastern MA now, she’s being treated at Mass General.

The Bible says that when you’re at your weakest, God is his strongest. Lean on him. He is your strength. Praying for you and her and all families having to deal with this.

Spend time with each other
do things that she loves
maybe do something she's always wanted to do
And don't feel like you have to carry all of this by yourself
yes it's hard for her but it's also hard for you and this is important be vulnerable and admit that you're afraid denying it does no good.
And it may allow her to do the same and bear the unbearable
that would be a gift, she's not alone and neither are you

you can be weak here and let off some anxiety, fears, and frustrations so that you can be the best you that you can be for her.
we got you.

That is brutal, Walkon. Prayers have been sent.
The hardest part about death (to me) is convincing yourself or realizing how lucky you have been to know Mrs Walkon better than anyone in the world.
Be a smile for her to see, but don’t ever feel guilty about crying with her.
F cancer.

My mom currently has metastatic breast cancer which spread to her bones
I know everyone is different but my mom takes 2 pills a day, a chemo pill & something else that makes her feel like crap
While it is incurable her Dr. told her it is possible to manage & after her 6 months scans no cancer was detected anywhere
She still has to take the meds & she still feels like crap a lot but incurable doesn’t always mean months left to live
I will pray that Shelby has the same path & the meds don’t make her feel too bad

Thank you brother, you’re exactly correct- there are meds and they make her feel horrible.
She’s a trooper though, she went to Ann Arbour this weekend. Not to watch the Michigan Texas game but to be there for her friend’s baby shower. Just a really great person.

What type means HER+, triple neg, etc?
I'll post my email if you like; I've been through this twice.
Mass Gen is excellent.

I’m sorry this is happening to your family.
I pray for Shelby and your family.
As for the breaking down part, who wouldn’t?
Miracles happen everyday.
It’s good that she has your love and support.

Wouldn’t know how to reach you bro but appreciate it. Maybe you could DM me or something, I’m not that familiar with the site.
