Can you give us a few examples of your other "cynically humorous" observations that don't involve CK? How funny of a guy are you?

If you have to be told not to make jokes about an innocent person being murdered in cold blood you got bigger problems that can be fixed here.

So are you offering to fix it, or can you just not write?

As they say... "if you have to ask"

Might be best to take the next few plays off before socializing those observations.

Let’s say your Dad, Husband, brother, best friend etc was killed…. How soon could I joke about it?

Re your original premise:

No. Thats very Freaking funny. I got a damn good laugh. Still chuckling actually .

To Clarify. Im specifically referring to the WGN bit. I think everybody was thinking it was gonna be about Charlie Kirk . Prolly why people were questioning you at first.

We don't watch the same comedians

That all depends. Do we or do we not still have a First Amendment? If we do, then go for it.

I can't believe the OT has upvoted this comment so high. It's a pretty woke statement. No topic is off limits. The key is the it has to be well-written and funny.

And 9/11 jokes are absolutely not taboo.

Free from government persecution, or from your peers and/or employer not wanting to hear/deal with your shite?

Four thoughts:

1. It's possible to simultaneously believe that no one deserves to be murdered for their political speech and that efforts to make any criticism of Kirk verboten after his murder have gone too far.

2. Whether you agreed with his politics or not, you can't deny that Kirk lived the life of a partisan political activist for the MAGA movement. Public figures are not private figures, and you can't become famous for making controversial statements without creating a situation where some people will have negative things to say about you after you die.

3. In our culture, criticizing a person who recently died is considered tasteless, and even more so if the person was murdered.

4. Count the cost. Absolutely nothing you have to say about the situation is so groundbreaking or important that it's worth losing your job over.

The O-T has spoken.

I'm accumulating downvotes with a vengeance, and the day is still young.

Adios to this subject.
