The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after two people were hit by a vehicle early Monday morning, Oct. 28.

Around 1:50 a.m., officers responded to 1900 North Flannery Road, not far from South Choctaw Drive. Police said two people were hit by a car while watching vehicles that were drag racing.

The pair was taken to the hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

That part of town was always sketchy as hell when I went to visit my great-grandmother in the nursing home just down from there

She died 25 years ago

I imagine it's only a half step up from Iraq by now

Well, this is what it usually takes for police to crack down on this shite. No one died, though, so it may still not be enough.

Not exactly the straightest road for drag racing. They must've just turned off Choctaw, but even Choctaw is curvy around Flannery. Most of the drag racing happens closer to Airline, or up on Florida Blvd. going out toward Denham springs.

Was this actual drag racing or just idiots doing burnouts and donuts?

I hate that they just use that term across the board.

Winning car probably has one. Losing car deleted that file and probably deny being there.

This also happened at frenchtown and central thruway same day/time. Central Police say crash that ended in fire Monday was spurred by social media challenge
