the eve of my 50th I injured my patella , years later its the only injury of a lifetime of broken bones and tears that nags me enough that its changed my workout and I tend to wear a knee sleeve everywhere I go.

Apart from that, I cant say that anything has changed except I don't stay up as late, but tend to wake up earlier and most of that is a remnant of married life, sleep habits changed when I shared space and have stayed on that schedule.

I never did drink or go out much, the general public disgusts me and I try to limit my exposure to them.

I'm 31 and feel asleep watching the Braves game around 7:30. I woke up and it was 5:00 am. While I felt old, I'm not gonna lie, I enjoyed it.

That 1st time a female cashier says "Sir" to you.I was probably 29 at the time.

I'm 58 now.So,I want to get older.I'm shooting for 95.

I just turned 48 this week and mentally I am fine it's just when your mind tells your body to do something and your body says "frick naw"

That's when you know you are getting old.

Same here. Didn't notice many physical changes until the late 40's. About 50 is when I noticed things slowing down, more difficult to recover from physical activity, etc.

I remember when the first kid called me Sir. I was only about 21 and was at a Citadel football game while I was in military service.
I remember the feeling I had when my youngest son graduated from college.
I thought, what am I going to do with the rest of my life.
I remember when my arms became to short for me to read the newspaper.
So I got bifocals.
Two years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Still looking good.

Its been a great journey and no end in sight. Yet!

I tell people that all the time. When I have what I would consider a big achievement as an adult, I sometimes feel like people should congratulate me like they did when you were a child. I know that's an asinine feeling, but it still happens. When no one congratulates me or makes a big deal out of it, it is then that I'm reminded I'm a grown arse man and no one really gives a shite. It's a weird cycle.

One thing that trips me out a bit is how juvenile my wife and I can be at times. My parents were either far more mature than we are, or they were damn good at hiding it. I suspect it's the latter, but I prefer to believe it's the former.

I woke up with back pain for the first time when I was 30. I was stuck in bed for about a week. I don't really feel it anymore, but I have to monitor how long I sit and what chair I sit in while working.

Luckily, my hangovers have actually gotten better since 30. I've only had 1, since turning 30 (I'm about to be 32).

Mentally, I'm about 18 still

This is not what made me feel older, it made me realize that Friday night "fun" out drinking was not worth all of Saturday, all of Sunday, and most of Monday feeling like absolute arse.

I share a birthday with a 99 year old WW2 vet. he was at Pearl Harbor and flew in the Pacific with my father...

He tells me I'm just a child and not to let the old man in!

I realized I was old when the college kids picking up their birth control prescriptions at the pharmacy were born during the years I went to LSU.
