I am still a 17 year old student and I notice this everyday at school. Every girl does everything they can to be accepted by either other girls or guys to notice them. Nobody really has a IDGAF attitude anymore and that's the problem is that whenever somebody does, others see it as they are "bitchy" or "they have a stick up their arse". Acceptance isn't seen as a privilege but rather as a formality now

This is actually an interesting take.

The thing I have noticed from my wife being a high school teacher is the sheer number of kids that say they are gay or bi. It seems to be instant popularity these days because its cool to have a gay friend I guess.

You clearly don't live in my neighborhood. They are always posting on the Facebook page about this or that kid not allowing said other kid to play. I don't live in the country club, but I live in a nice neighborhood where these kids are all spoiled middle class brats. I refuse to accept that for my kids. I want them to be able yo roll with the punches not cry because they didn't get there way.

Attitude is worshipped. Basically ghetto culture has worked it's way into all social groups. People have become conditioned to accept everything as normal and social pressure as a form of impising normalcy is frowned upon.
