I have only been catfished once, but it was fricking bad. I'm talking an additional 50-75 pounds to the pics on the profile. Have vetted ever since when I have been single.

How long did you last?

For me I met up with the girl(her name was April) and she introduced me to her 4 year old daughter. Right then and there I just said I don't think this is for me and left. She said couldn't understand why(bullshite she knew why). I just couldn't see myself sitting through an entire date that I was no longer interested in and decided to rip the bandaid off. She probably went on social media after that and talked about how men are pigs and won't "man up" and commit a single mom.

I stayed at the bar for about 10 minutes before saying I left the oven on or some stupid excuse like that.

I think your situation may have been worse, what kind of creature brings their kid??

It was weird. She had left me her number at a bar we were at after we clicked there. Then later that night I matched her on Tinder before I had the chance to call or text her. We set up a meetup at a park and then we were going to go from there. I guess she thought it would be best to let me know from the start she had a kid. But why bring the kid? She had to see her mom get rejected in front of her face.

I always make sure they don’t have a kid before agreeing to meet.

Live and learn. I absolutely will not roll the dice at all anymore. I won't meet up with a girl unless I am 100% sure without a doubt she is who she presents herself to be and no apparent red flags.

I haven't used Tinder/Bumble here in San Diego yet. Interested to see if its worthwhile here.

I'd suggest that you settle down before you turn 35 or so

Bumble is so much better in big cities. It’s not even funny

Who said you have to date within your age range?

I am 31 and I have gone out with Tinder/Bumble matches as much as 12 years younger than me. I've never gone out with anyone older than 24

I've had more success on Bumble. I feel like girls on there are more serious about it. A lot of girls use Tinder for validation, Instagram/Snapchat followers, or just something to window shop out of boredom but not actually follow through on. Although Tinder Gold is better than Bumble's "Beeline" by far. I don't even swipe on Tinder, I just look at the girls who have already right swiped me in my gold queue. Most of it is trash, but there are good ones in there. But I would say my best online dating app dates have come from Bumble.

Give it a few more years and if she's interested and that younger than you than she wants your money.

Most 23 year old girls want to date 25 year old guys unless you can offer them some level of stability that they find comforting

Very few 28 year old women want a 40 yr old husband unless he's rich
