When a retailer receives a product from a wholesaler, does it typically come

Sometimes is the best answer. My wife was in retail for a while and each vendor is different.

like stated, sometimes they do, sometimes they dont, just depends on the product and the company

For large items, I've never seen one priced. Only things priced are movies and cds.

Sometimes. Some manufacturers have set prices on things. You see it with some of the more inexpensive cigar packaging.
