Yeh, that is our point. We dont beleive ole gimpy from the OT with his size 28 waist dockers and 36 sports coat is putting 225 up 13 times slow and steady

I go up in weight but keep my reps at 15.
This and I do heavy one week and light the next. On light week I don't rest as much.

Kept your reps in the power range: 5 to 6. Also keep your sets at 5. Print a spreadsheet out so you know how much you will lift in each set before you enter the gym. The worst problems I see people have at commercial gyms are bad programs and no set progression of the poundage they will lift in each training session.

My app says I would come in about 1.35 or so
I think I can do more, but will probably never try

I know I can't do the one rep max on my app.

Best ever was 305/185 = 1.65
However that was a couple years ago, my days of lifting heavy are over. Being able to hit 225 for 8-10 reps is good for me.

Do you do bench press and incline press along w Dumbbells flat and incline on same days?

If I were you I would do only flat bench 5 sets of 5 on Monday and Friday. The excessive volume you see printed in magazines is counterproductive for natural lifters and beginners. No need to do any incline presses.

Incline doesn't hit your chest a different / necessary way than flat?

My smash factor is 1.498

Like you said, the number of sub 200 lb men who bench 300+ on the OT is astounding.
Must have really short arms and, even with that, bounce it a little.

I am 5'11. I could no longer play football so put all my energy in the gym, use to personal train. I was only able to maintain that for a couple months, to much fricking work. Hell I can barley motivate to get myself in the gym 3 times a week now.

5'9 and have been working out 10 yrs. took a couple yrs off in between.
I dont bounce off. If you want to build max, super set your inclines.
My number is 1.8. When i was in college i was max 305 at less than 160. Watched another guy who was 152 max 320 in a college lift conpetition.
Its not unheard of. Just takes time and hard work
