This isn’t a financial decision. I’d most likely take a demotion and pay cut going somewhere else only because they keep giving me raises, but at the end of the day it’s just a trap.
My family wouldn’t be in a bind either way. We live well below our means and no debt. It’s just more of the walking away of something I’ve dumped so much in and relationships built with my group. Also, ending up at just another shite show. At least this is my shite show. Lol.
Thanks for the feedback, OT. There’s some good responses in here.

Can you make these dates and deliver xyz"
No that isn't realistic
"Oh come on, even if we stretch and get you help?"
No, it's not realistic.
"Let's just put these dates for now and we can shift if we need to"
*Misses dates just like I said we would
"WHY IS THIS LATE, you said you could deliver by this date"
^ that's how my day goes mostly.
I think we work together

I was on a call today, prepping for a rollout on Monday and heard "We should have started this in November"

I finally learned the only thing that keeps me from getting burned out is incentives. Bonus. Annual raise. Promotion. That's what motivates me.
I only recently started working for a company that does any of that.

Not even a COL raise? I've gone 2 years in my entire career without getting a raise and it was 2008 & 2009 and I worked in the financial industry. I was pretty much happy to maintain employment. I'd definitely leave my job if I didn't get regular annual raises.

I've changed positions and/or companies almost every 2.5 years.
Spent 2 years, 8 months in my first job. Took a new position with a different company, and spent 2 years and 9 months there. I've been with my current employer since. I'll make 7 years in May, but in those 7 years, I spent 2 years, 4 months in my first position, 2 years and 4 months in my second position, 10 months in my 3rd, and have now been in my current position for a year and a half.
Every move up until my last was a promotion. My last move was largely because I wasn't happy where I was, and a position opened up that was a better fit.
