It's very good to be cautious but diving can be very safe. Don't be scared off.



90% of these stories are from highly preventable and not that dangerous if you know what you are doing

Almost every dive I make on the Oriskany there is a diver with an issue due mainly to the fact that this is the first dive over 100' for many divers (top of the wreck is 93') and they have no idea how quickly you burn through gas at those depths. Since there are usually several boats tied in to the wreck there can be 20+ divers in the water. You have got to keep your head on a swivel the entire time. More and more divers who have no business being on the Oriskany are out there.
